Dec 6-8 Traditional Skills Gathering
This extended weekend is lead by experienced instructors teaching traditional/primitive skills used by Native peoples around the world.
Skills taught might include flint knapping, fire by friction, natural fiber cordage, bone tools, basketry, pottery, bows & arrows, atlatls & darts, edible & medicinal plants, blowguns, brain tan buckskin, twined bags, fingerweaving, traps & snares, fishing technologies and more!
Participants ages 12 & up are invited to take part
in a unique and educational weekend.

Brian Floyd- Archaeologist teaching shell and bone tools, various primitive skills
Ken Purdy- Blacksmithing
Karen Kirkland – KarBenKreations, Pine Needle Baskets, Loom Weaving and Spinning
Ben Kirkland – Chehaw’s Director of Natural Resources, All-round primitive technologies

Thursday: Camp Site check in
Friday: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm & 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Saturday: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm & 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
