Plan an unforgettable field trip at the Upland Wildlife Festival – School Day, where students explore science in action through hands-on discovery and live animal encounters. On April 17, 2026, classes can spend the day going through wildlife learning stations and STEM-focused activities covering longleaf pine ecology, nutrient cycles, fire science, animal adaptations, vertebrate comparisons, and Georgia’s native plants and animals.
Students will also enjoy scheduled wildlife programs like Southeast Reptile Rescue, birds of prey presentations, and a controlled burn drone demonstration, all within Chehaw’s park setting. The school-day event runs from 9 AM–2 PM, followed by a 2 PM–3 PM sensory-friendly quiet hour for groups who benefit from a calmer environment.
